Carson had so much fun going down his slide this afternoon. I cannot tell you the number of times, yeah...it was that much! He goes down pretty fast, then skids along the grass at the bottom. So, I got to experience grass stain removal off the back of his shorts last night. Being the very active boy that he is, I'm prepared for this to be a nightly ritual this summer.

Sunny Afternoon
For those who have never attempted putting together a toddler climbing contraption by yourself...I don't recommend it! HAHA It may look like a simple thing to do, but it involves a lot of hammering, maneuvering, and awkwardness.

I finished it up while Carson was napping, so when he woke up he got to check it out. He was pretty impressed!
The weather was so beautiful this afternoon, so we spent the whole day outside. We pretty much played with every outside toy we have!

Adventure
Today we ventured north in response to an ad for a Little Tikes cube climber. It was a great deal, so it was worth the drive. After picking it up, we stopped at Culver's for dinner. We put in our order and sat in a booth with our number, waiting for our food to be brought out. Carson was being cute, and flirting with the people around us while we waited...but no food. Seriously, after 20 minutes I had to say something to management. It turns out that our receipt didn't get printed in the back, so they didn't make our order. Luckily, I found a box of raisins in my purse and they were a lifesaver! I was given a full refund and an apology, so our dinner ended up being free!
I've been slacking with taking pictures lately. My small camera that I take everywhere because it fits in my purse has a dead battery, and I can't find the charger. My bigger camera which takes awesome pictures still works perfectly, but it's huge and is a pain to haul everywhere. I do plan on taking lots tomorrow, so I should have more to post soon. In the meantime, here is a recent one of Carson on his rocking horse.

Picnic
This morning we went down to Canal Park for a little picnic. We were swarmed by seagulls hoping we would share some food with them. Carson has become very aware of birds flying around outside, and he adores them...so I can't even begin to explain how neat he thought this was.
We heard the bridge going up, so we left the seagulls and went over to see the U.S. Coast Guard coming through. The crew was waving as they passed us, and Carson had a huge smile on his face as he waved back.
It has become tradition when I go to Canal Park to stop at Coldstone Creamery for ice cream. The ice cream is do DIE for! Yes, this is coming from someone who has an ice cream addiction, and eats a monstrous bowl every night before bed, but.....
Carson won't argue with that one...he loved it too! :)

Busy Wednesday
We started out this morning playing outside in the yard and on the deck, the weather was beautiful. Then we went for a couple mile walk, and luckily Carson fell asleep in the stroller...we had afternoon plans. I met up with my friend Lisa and daughter Freyja, and we took the kiddos to the park.

Carson brought his favorite water bottle, and had to stop for a drink.

Freyja had milk in her cup, and Carson asked if he could have some.

She was so generous and shared, she is such a nice girl.

We ate a quick supper, and put on warmer clothes because the wind off the lake got chilly when the sun went down. We went out for an ice cream sundae, and another walk.

This is one of his new poses...crossing his arms, and giving a little attitude.
