Happy Fall

The temperature outside definately says fall is here. We put on our sweaters and played outside this afternoon. Carson found some apples that had fallen from an apple tree, which seemed like a perfect prop for a mini photo shoot.

He is such a happy boy, I love his smile!

Apple Orchard

We went back to the Apple Orchard this year for the best apple flavored bakery items ever! Carson devoured his apple doughnut which put him in a really happy mood.

He was very entertained by the apple sorting process.

We shared a caramel apple. We were both in agreement that it was delicious!

He got to sit on a big tractor too...right up this boy's alley!

Name Letters

I wanted to think of a fun theme that Carson would enjoy for his bedroom, since he was making a transition into his new "big boy" bed. I shopped around and found a cute sheet and comforter set in a jungle safari theme, and he loves it. I bought some plain wood wall letters and have been working on painting them for a couple weeks now. As of tonight they are finished! I'll definately post more pictures when I get them hung above his bed, along with pictures of the rest of the room...but I think they turned out precious.

By the way, he has been sleeping wonderfully in his new bed! He is so proud of it! :)

New House!!!

Carson is thrilled! I bought him a playhouse today with all kinds of fun toddler amenities. This was his reaction after walking through the door...to make the excitement even greater, I was sitting inside the house and said "surprise" when he walked through the door.

He spent quite a bit of time checking it out...

He picked up the telephone to make a call...

Maybe he was calling Freyja to apologize for the disagreement they had yesterday at the lake. ;)

I'm sure there will be a lot more playhouse pictures to come, since it's the new hot item around here. :)

More rock throwing

Carson had a playdate with Freyja this afternoon so after he woke up from his nap we headed down to the lake. I was a little concerned since he seemed to have woken up on the wrong side on the bed. Everything seemed fine when we got there however, and they were both enjoying throwing rocks in the lake with smiles on their faces...

Until, Freyja picked up Carson's water bottle...

A little toddler disagreement took place, and tears were shed.

Carson got was he wanted, but still stepped aside to pout about it...haha! He is normally more willing to share, but apparently I was right about him not being in a great mood after his nap.

No worries! They are still great buddies, and spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening getting along just fine. :)

Rockstar

We had a pretty uneventful afternoon, since I was cramming for a test...but I had to snap a picture of Carson in his rockstar outfit. He looks so grown up lounging in the chair, I'm in disbelief that my baby is turning into a boy. A few more months and I'll be planning his 2nd birthday!

We added a little excitement to bathtime tonight by adding bubble bath, or "bubboos" if you ask Carson. He had a great time!

Peek-a-boo!

The past few days Carson has re-discovered Peek-a-boo, so we've been playing it quite often. When his eyes are covered, I start asking him..."Where is Carson?" "I wonder where Carson is...I don't see him anywhere...", that's when the grins and giggles kick in full force. He is so much fun to play with!

Peek! I just love those big blue eyes!

Popsicles

After we ate dinner, Carson and I enjoyed popsicles outside. Given the option of green or blue, he chose the green one.

He wanted the blue one after he saw me eating it, so we shared. :)

This is his extremely happy face...hurray for popsicles, and hurray for perfect summer nights!
