Aquarium

We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium for a tour this afternoon. It was something new and different and Carson loved watching the fish. We got to pet a sting ray, well...I did (he panicked and changed his mind at the last minute), and feed some of the large fish.

It was an excellent learning experience for him, and he asked lots and lots of questions about what he was looking at. "Mommy da at?"

There was a child learning area, where he sat in a canoe and did some fishing too. The fishing pole had a magnet on the end, and the fish were magnets...so it took a little hand-eye coordination, but he quickly mastered it! ;)

Fun Afternoon

Carson got to spend the afternoon with Freyja, which he loved! He was so happy to show off his toys and have a buddy to follow him around the yard.

They sat down and made funny faces together...

Then came adorable laughs and smiles! :)

Sick Boy :(

On Wednesday night, I put Carson down for bed around 8:15. Ten short minutes later he was crying for me...turns out he had thrown up in his bed. We had a restless night of more throwing up every 1-2 hours. Or, as a friend of mine referred to it as, a puke fest! It continued into Thursday morning, and he was miserable. By afternoon, I started running a fever and then got sick myself. We were a pretty pathetic pair! We woke up feeling a little better today, but still not back to our normal selves. We took a nap together this morning, and I thought he looked way too precious to not take a photo of him when I woke up.

Superman

Carson decided to wear his new Superman pajamas tonight after I told him that Superman runs really fast! So instead of the usual pajama boycott, he readily put them on. He took off running, then turned around and said "Mommy run really fast too".

So...we ran really fast!

He needed to stop for a milk break after all his running. :)

Right before bed, I took the cape off and he got sad. He asked me to put it back on...but we negotiated, and I told him he could wear it again in the morning while he ate breakfast.

Playground

Carson and I went to the park this afternoon, and he was loving the slides. His imagination is also growing, which is so much fun to watch. He would go underneath the equipment, then tell me that he was hiding from the rain. We luckily missed the real rain by a couple hours, but he had fun with the pretend rain.

He made sure I took my turn going down the slides too. :)

Playing Outside

It was pretty windy this afternoon, so we had to bundle up before we went outside. I gave Carson a ride on a wooden wheelbarrow, and he had lots of fun. The face he's making in this picture is the face he makes when he's trying to hold back a smile. It happens regularly, he's so silly!

We played peek-a-boo with all the trees in the yard. Thought this one was pretty cute!
