Afternoon Errands

This afternoon Carson and I headed downtown for our regular library trip, but also stopped at Fitgers to do a little shopping and wander around. The weather today was so nice, so we went out for the first time without winter jackets and mittens in months.

We spent a long time in the toy store looking for a perfect new toy. He tested out all the trucks, cars, and helicopters...

He found a drum to play, paged through some books, was in total awe of a giant Elmo and Big Bird...

But, we eventually decided on a harmonica...

West End Library

In an effort to mix things up this afternoon, we headed over to the library on the West End of town. They had a train table, as expected...but some different toys and some great books. I asked Carson if he'd like to sit down and read some books with me, and in a sweet angelic voice, he said "no". It took a little convincing to get him away from the train table (his absolute favorite thing), but we read the cutest book!

We also played with some puppets. He was giving them high fives. :)
